Animal Science Department
The Department of Animal Science’s objective is to ensure that Quebec holds a leadership role in the animal science field. By training highly skilled professionals, they promote knowledge transfer and maintain close relationships with various agri-food stakeholders. They aim to develop international partnerships in order to address specific animal production needs.
Teaching and research activities essentially focus on the following disciplines:
- Food, nutrition and animal physiology
- Reproductive physiology and biotechnology
- Meat production and quality
- Technico-economic management of herds
