Soil and Agri-Food Engineering Department
The Department of Soil and Agri-Food Engineering is committed to ensuring Quebec and Canada’s role as a leader in training highly qualified professionals in the fields of study in soil and environmental science, agro-environmental engineering and food engineering. Rendering access to the field, and informing the community and the industry, are at the heart of their mission. All department activities promote sustainable development and protect agricultural, urban and industrial environments.
The Department of Soil and Agri-Food Engineering collaborates with other higher education institutions, research centres, businesses and organisations recognized for their involvement in protecting agricultural ecosystems and improving the quality of life for agricultural producers.
Proponents of hands-on learning, the master’s and doctoral programs managed by the Department of Soil and Agri-Food Engineering encourage students to participate in practical, multi-disciplinary projects that support social and economic change in Canada, as well as abroad.
Longtime supporters of the Ultrac tream, a group primarily made up of students enrolled in the Argo-Environmental Engineering program, the Department of Soil and Agri-Food Engineering supports student involvement and initiative.
