Jean-Claude Dufour Receives the 2015 Food Personality Award
25 March 2015
Congratulations to the winner of the André-Latour trophee, awarded annually by the Quebec Food Processors Council (CTAQ).
Jean-Claude Dufour, Dean of the Faculty, received the 2015 André-Latour food personality award as part of the Quebec Food Processors Council (CTAQ) annual conference that took place at Fairmont Tremblant in Mont Tremblant on Saturday, March 21.
A passionate and dedicated professor, Jean Claude Dufour has ardently promoted the development of the bio-food industry in Quebec since his start in the field. He has taken part in every debate and has continuously encouraged exchange between industry stakeholders, at times being rather provoking. Mr. Dufour is passionate about food marketing and distribution. It is a passion that he has transmitted to the thousands of students he has encountered, and who amicably refer to him as the godfather of food marketing.
For the eighteenth year in a row, the André-Latour trophee, awarded annually by the Quebec Food Processors Council (CTAQ), has recognized a major and lasting contribution to Quebec’s agri-food industry. Candidate nominations are submitted to a jury who designate the person deserving of this honour among their peers.
Congratulations to Mr. Dufour!
